FLC Series Leaf Chain

Leaf chain is used in lifting applications such as Fork Lifts, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Jack fittings etc. all of which move at slow speeds.
Challenge offer Leaf Chain complying with ANSI standards in types BL (heavy duty), AL (light duty), EL and FLC.
Where applicable, ISO equivalents are also given.
Link plates - produced from alloy steel, especially selected to withstand sudden shock loads. Heat treated to assure maximum breaking loads and wear resistance.
Bearing pins - produced from heat treated alloy steel giving excellent resistance to bending

FLC Series Leaf Chain

An older style and less common leaf chain, FLC leaf chain is lighter duty and uses single interlacing. It is most commonly found in the UK and to a lesser extent in Europe.

Leaf chain is a simple form of chain that offers higher tensile strengths and a narrower overall width when compared to standard power transmission chains. Leaf chains are composed of interlaced link plates and pins, but they do not include a bush or a rr. The outer link plates offer a tight interference fit to prevent the pins from rotating with the leaf chains running over sheaves rather than sprockets.

Due to their increased tensile strength, impact resistance and fatigue resistance, leaf chains or commonly used in lifting and material handling applications. These applications include but are not limited to lifts and hoists, forklift trucks, boom trucks, counter weight systems, machining systems and elevators.

All chain coils/lengths are supplied with a standard connecting link.
